The Second coming of Jesus Christ
We read in Mathew 24: 27, 30), “For as the lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. At that time the sign of the Son of Man (Jesus) will appear in the sky and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.”
In the world today, with so much technology and all the gadgets we have, does anyone really believe, there is a God? Are we living in an Age that in time will be over? For example, When God told Adam not to eat from the Tree of Good and Evil, Did he believe God? No! When Noah told the people that a flood was coming and it would destroy all life on the land. Did anyone believe him? No! When God told Israel, (His chosen people) to stop sinning or they would lose their inheritance of their land. Did they believe God? No! So I ask now, when God through the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is coming again to set up the Kingdom of God, will any believe him? I hope so. Because it is true my friends, mankind has had 6,000 years to do it their way, from Adam until now, (Please read the article God’s Master Plan of Salvation for mankind). The next thing God will be working out for the salvation of mankind in his plan is sending His Son Jesus Christ to set up the Kingdom of God. Most of the world will not be happy with that because Satan has them deceived into thinking that this will be all bad. As it states in (Revelation 12:9) “The great dragon was hurled down-that ancient serpent call the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.” And you must admit, look at the world around you, chaos reigns, frustration, wars, unhappiness abound all around the globe. Satan is doing a wonderful job deceiving us folks. And no matter what we say or do, the 2nd coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is coming, and I believe it is soon my friends.
You may ask why we need Jesus to return to the earth again. Some of the people believe that when he returns they will be whisked away with Jesus and go back to heaven. If this is the case when he returns why does it state in (Zechariah 14:4, 9) “On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem., and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, and half of the mount moving north and half moving south”, “The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.” That doesn’t sound like he is taking the Saints back to heaven. Do you know that the word “rapture” is not even mentioned in the Bible?
It is easy to see why Jesus needs to come back to this earth, and it’s one of many reasons he came to earth the first time. To show us how to live, God’s way of life, Not mankind’s way of life. The way man has been living since Adam, he and we have sinned and turned away from God. And a second reason Jesus came the first time was of course to die for the sins of the world. (John 1:29) “Behold, the lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world”. (II Timothy 3:1) “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, and conceited, lovers of pleasant rather than lovers of God- having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
Look at the world around us; does this sound like the world we live in today? Absolutely!
We need wholeheartedly to come back to the basics of life as God instructed us to live through the Bible. We all are selfish, and always want more, we are never satisfied, and it is so sad. We have so much and give so little, society’s morality is gone. But when Christ returns he will set up his kingdom, God’s Kingdom, not Satan’s, (Remember Revelation 12:9) and the whole world will be a much better place for all of mankind. Do you believe that Satan has authority on this earth, let alone over you? Let’s see what God’s word has to say abut that. In (Mathew 4:8) Satan is tempting Jesus, “Again, the devil took him (Jesus) to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.” All This will I will give you”, he said, “if you will bow down and worship me”. If Satan did not have any authority on this earth how could he offer it to Jesus? Look at (Revelation 2:13) “I know where you live-where Satan has his throne.” Satan has a throne on this earth? That is very frightening, but if you don’t believe Christ is returning, then you have fallen into Satan’s great deception. Look at what (II Corinthians 11:14) “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerade as an angel of light”. Do you see how lost all of mankind truly is, in today’s society what is wrong is right, and what is right is wrong. Do your own thing; some say, this is the only trip on this earth that I am going to live, who cares. As it states in (I Corinthian’s 15:32) “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die”. Satan has deceived most of the world that this is it, I live, I die, and it’s over. That’s a lie folks; God has wonderful plans for all of mankind. Again, we need our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to return to this earth and get things back on track as God intended from the beginning, as it was supposed to be in the Garden of Eden.
Let’s get into the Bible and see what it says about the Glorious Return of our Lord and Savior. (Isaiah 11:1-5, 10) “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; (a descendant of Jesus) from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him (speaking of Jesus) the spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked. Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.” In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious.” (Isaiah 66:15) “See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his chariots are like a whirlwind, he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.” (Jeremiah 25:30) “Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: “The Lord will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.” (Daniel 2:44) “In that time of those kings, (which is today) the God of Heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, (of course this is speaking of Satan’s Kingdoms), but it will itself endure forever.” A Kingdom that will endure forever, doesn’t that sound refreshing? (Daniel 7:9-14, 22) “As I looked, (Daniel speaking here) “Thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his heads was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. A river of fire was flowing coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand time ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.” This is a reference to (Revelation 20:12) “And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life.” Please read the entire chapter of revelation 20, it talks about the 1000 year reign of Christ in God’s Kingdom. More scriptures about Christ’s second coming, (Zechariah 14:9) “The Lord will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one Lord, and his name the only name.” All of these Old Testament scriptures were prophecies of the second coming of our Lord, now let’s look at what the New Testament states; (Mathew 24:30-31) “At that time the sign of the Son of Man(Jesus) will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.” (Mark 13:24-26) “But in those days, (soon I will add) after that tribulation, “the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. After Jesus ascended to Heaven following his resurrection, let’s look at what (Acts 1:10-11) states, “And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way as you have seen him go into heaven.” (I Thessalonians 4:16-17) “For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” In (Revelation 11:15) it states, “The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
You may ask why is Jesus Christ the only way to salvation? Let’s look at (Colossians 1:15-20) “He Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head or the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, (why) so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him (why) to reconcile to himself all things, whether things in earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. “
Jesus created us, he died for us, and He is coming again to save us. All of us, let’s look at (Philippians 2:9) “Therefore God exalted him (Jesus) to the highest place and gave him the bane that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (all that have lived and died since Adam) and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” please read all the chapters that are used here to get a better grasp of his Second Coming, and this is only a small list prophesying Christ’s return to set up God’s Kingdom, there are plenty more.
Children of God and we all are his children, Christ is returning and his reward is with him, and the way our world is, it has to be soon. Please come accept him as your personal Savior, and reign with him forever and ever. He loves his creation, and again, HE DIED for His creation. He will save His creation. How beautiful is that?
